Sensex rises 126 points, Nifty up 33 points in early trade

Domestic benchmark equity indices opened at a new all-time high in early trade today, amid investor optimism around strong quarter two GDP growth at 8.2 per cent.
 
Sensex was trading 126 points up at 85,832 and Nifty inched up 33 points to 26,236 when reports last came in. 
 
All the sectoral indices on NSE were trading up except Nifty FMCG and Nifty Chemicals. Nifty Metal and Nifty Auto were the top gainers. 
 
The US markets ended in the green zone overnight. In Asian markets, China’s Shanghai index added 0.43 per cent, and Shenzhen advanced 0.99 per cent, Japan’s Nikkei dipped 1.68 per cent, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index added 0.77 per cent. South Korea’s Kospi dropped 0.12 per cent.
