Sensex, Nifty Trade Lower; Sensex Drops 344 Points

Must Read

Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading around 0.4 per cent down in forenoon trade today. Barring PSU Bank, most other sectoral indices were trading with losses. The Sensex shed 344 points to 81 thousand 758, while Nifty fell 96 points to 25 thousand 74, when reports last came in.
Earlier, both indices began the day on a negative note amid weak global cues. Meanwhile, sustained foreign fund outflows and concerns over proposed changes in the US H-1B visa system continue to weigh on investor sentiment.
