Benchmark domestic equity indices ended the first day of week with gains of 0.4 per cent each, boosted by positive global cues. The Sensex rose 329 points, to close at 81 thousand and 636. Similarly, Nifty gained 98 points, to settle at 24 thousand 968.
The broader market indices at the Bombay Stock Exchange ended on a mixed note. The Mid-Cap index advanced 0.1 per cent, and the Small-Cap index closed flat with a negative bias.
