Sensex, Nifty end in red

 
Benchmark domestic equity indices ended around 0.7 per cent lower today. The Sensex fell 561 points to close at 77 thousand fifty five. The Nifty declined 159 points to settle at 24 thousand fifty two. 
In the broader market on the National Stock Exchange, Midcap 100 slipped 0.44 per cent and Smallcap 100 index fell nearly one per cent.
