Sensex, Nifty End Higher on Global Cues and Easing Retail Inflation

Domestic benchmark equity indices ended higher today, tracking gains in global markets and boosted by easing domestic retail inflation.
 
 
The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 304 points or 0.38 per cent to settle at 80,540, while the NSE Nifty ended the day at 24,619, up 132 points or 0.54 per cent.
 
 
Broader markets also closed with gains. The MidCap index closed 0.56 per cent higher and the SmallCap Index added 0.58 per cent.
