Sensex, Nifty Down in Afternoon Session; Auto Sector Outperforms

Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading around 0.4 per cent down in afternoon trade today. The Sensex dipped 358 points to 80 thousand 360, and Nifty dropped 98 points to 24 thousand 636, when reports last came in. On the sectoral front, Realty, IT pack, and FMCG were dragging the most, while Auto was leading the gains.
