Sensex Jumps 780 Points, Nifty Increases By 283 Points In Afternoon Trade

Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading with gains of around one per cent in afternoon trade today. In sectoral indices, Auto, Consumer stocks and Realty were gaining the most, while IT as well as Pharma were trading in negative territory. Sensex jumped 780 points, to 81 thousand 378, and Nifty increased by 283 points, to 24 thousand 915, a short while ago.
