Senior BJP leader Amit Shah has said that the people of Bengal broke all records in the first phase of the Assembly polls and voted with enthusiasm for change. Addressing a press conference in Kolkata a short while ago, Mr Shah expressed confidence that the BJP will win more than 110 of the 152 seats that went to polls in the first phase of the Bengal elections. He thanked the Election Commission and security forces for ensuring free and fair polls.
The BJP leader said that the TMC’s exit is imminent, adding that the BJP is going to form the government with an absolute majority in Bengal.
