The Saudi Cricket Federation is looking to increase the involvement of the Indian community in cricket in Saudi Arabia.The Chairman of the federation, HRH Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud, met with the India Ambassador to Saudi Arabia  Dr. Suhel Khan at the embassy, along with his team, to discuss various aspects of promoting cricket in Saudi Arabia.

The discussions primarily focused on increasing the participation of the Indian community in cricket in Saudi Arabia. Given the popularity of cricket in India, the Saudi Cricket Federation believes that involving the Indian community more would help promote the sport in the country. The Federation is exploring various options to encourage more Indians to play and watch cricket in Saudi Arabia.

The representatives of the Saudi federation, which over the last year has transformed the cricket landscape in the Kingdom with a series of game-changing initiatives and competitions . Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud, recently visited Ahmedabad to participate in the opening of the Indian Premier League.

The visit of the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation to Ahmedabad and the discussions held with Ambassador Dr. Suhel Khan signify the importance that the Federation attaches to promoting cricket in the country. The Federation is committed to increasing the popularity of the sport and hopes to achieve this by involving the Indian community more in cricket in Saudi Arabia.
