Satwik-Chirag Enter Hong Kong Open Final After Dominant Semifinal Win

In badminton, India’s men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty stormed into the final of the Hong Kong Open. The top-ranked Indian duo defeated Chinese Taipei’s Chen Cheng Kuan and Lin Bing-Wei 21-17, 21-15 in the semifinal this morning. The indian pair will now face the winners of the other semifinal between China’s C. Wang and W.K. Liang, and the Chinese Taipei pair F.C. Lee and F.J. Lee in the final. In Men’s Singles, Lakshya Sen will take on Chou Tien-chen of Chinese Taipei in the Semifinals this evening. The match is expected to begin at 4:10 PM Indian Standard Time. Lakshya stormed into the last four, defeating compatriot Ayush Shetty 21-16, 17-21, 21-13 in a three-game thriller quarterfinals yesterday.
