Top Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who primarily works in Telugu and Tamil films, has decided to take a break for one year from films to treat her autoimmune condition, Myositis, media reports said.

Samanthas publicist Mahendra told The Indian Express, Its true that Samantha wont be taking on any new projects for one year as she is all set to leave for the USA for the treatment of her autoimmune condition, Myositis.

If her condition improves earlier than expected, she may return within six months. However, the planned duration of her break is one year.

She is already making good progress in her recovery, and her doctors have advised her to take mandatory rest. Samantha will depart for the US in the fourth week of August (Aug. 20), Mahendra added.

Samantha presently has two films in her kitty, namely Citadel and Kushi.

While Citadel is already wrapped up, Samantha is shooting for the final schedule of Kushi.

The shooting for romantic drama Kushi was earlier postponed as Samantha, who was last seen in Shaakuntalam, underwent the medical condition, Myositis.

In Kushi, Samantha has teamed up with superstar Vijay Deverakonda for the second time onscreen.
