The devastating incident involved 242 people, including passengers and crew, sending shockwaves across the country. The tragedy has not only shaken the general public but has also triggered an outpouring of grief and condolences from prominent figures in the Indian entertainment industry. Leading Bollywood actor Salman Khan took to his Instagram stories to share his sorrow. “Deeply saddened to hear about the Ahmedabad plane crash… Heartfelt prayers for the families of the passengers, crew and all those affected,” he wrote.
As a gesture of respect and mourning, Salman Khan also canceled a scheduled press conference in Mumbai, where he was to be introduced as the new face of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL). Co-founders of ISRL, Veer Patel and Ishan Lokhande, along with Khan, jointly decided to call off the event after learning about the crash. A press note from the organizers read: “Indian Supercross Racing League and Mr. Salman Khan stand by the Nation united in this tough time. All our condolences and prayers are with the affected families. Jointly, we have made a responsible decision to reschedule this event to a further date.”
