A court in Punjab’s Mohali today sent Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia to a seven-day Police remand. He was arrested by the Vigilance Bureau yesterday for allegedly laundering more than 540 crore rupees in drug money. The Punjab Vigilance Bureau had raided his houses in Amritsar and Chandigarh yesterday. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, during a press conference in Chandigarh today, said that 29 mobile phones, eight laptops, and other crucial evidence were recovered from Majithia’s residence.
