A Russian guided aerial bomb attack on the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv overnight injured six people and sparked several fires. Governor of the broader Kharkiv region, Oleh Synehubov, said the attack also ignited fires at a city market and several residential buildings.
On the other hand, in Russia, a head of the council of deputies in Novaya Kakhovka, has died in hospital after being wounded in a Ukrainian drone strike. Two female civilians were also injured in the attack. Russian media reported the strike was part of a wider series of Ukrainian attacks on settlements in the Kherson Region. Officials said 68 strikes were carried out in 13 areas over 24 hours. Russia’s Defense Ministry reported downing 20 Ukrainian drones over Belgorod, Rostov, Saratov, and Voronezh regions overnight.
