Russia launched a massive aerial assault on Ukraine today, using nearly 600 drones and 26 missiles in its fourth major attack this month. Strikes targeted cities across the country, with western regions including Lviv, Lutsk, and Chernivtsi hit hard. At least two people were killed and 20 injured in Chernivtsi, near the Romanian border. Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, noting widespread damage to civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine’s air force reported shooting down 25 missiles and 319 Shahed drones, while jamming 258 more with electronic warfare. Meanwhile, Russian Ministry of Defence said that 155 Ukrainian drones were downed yesterday, including 11 bound for Moscow. The latest barrage underscores escalating Russian attacks deep into Ukrainian territory, amid the United States’ resumption of military supplies to Ukraine.
