Rupee Gains 27 Paise to Close at 87.44 Against US Dollar

In the Forex market, the rupee today appreciated by 27 paise to close at 87 rupees and 44 paise against the US dollar. The dollar index, which indicates US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 97.68 in intra-day trade.
