Rupee depreciates by 30 paise to close at record low of 96.83 against US dollar 

In the forex market today, the rupee depreciated by 30 paise to close at record low of 96 rupees and 83 paise against the US dollar. The dollar index, which indicates US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 99.36 in intra-day trade.
