In the Forex market, the rupee today depreciated by 25 paise to close at 85 rupees and 34 paise against the US dollar amid strengthening of the American currency and decline in domestic equities. The dollar index, which indicates US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at around 99.37 in intra-day trade.
