The discipline of the Ramakrishna Mission is admirable. This Mission is an institution of building man. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) ManikSaha said this while addressing a programme organized on the occasion of 125th year celebration of Ramakrishna Mission and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav held at Viveknagar Ramakrishna Mission in Agartala yesterday. He said, Ramakrishna Mission is the pride of the country. Ramakrishna Mission is steadily doing the work of developing the future generation of this state with human values. This institution is working to inculcate the inherent sense of unity among the tribal and non-tribal people of the state. Chief Minister said that the Ramakrishna Mission of our state, like the well-known Belur Math Ramakrishna Mission, has extended its helping hand to the poor and distressed people. He said that the pattern in reading and training of the students of this Ramakrishna Mission School is very different from others.

Chief Minister said that the people of the state want peace and harmony. Ramakrishna Mission is working in that direction. He also mentioned about the distribution of food packets to 50 people living on the footpath every day under the Sharda Anna bhandar project, initiative of Ramakrishna Mission. Chief Minister said that this initiative of Ramakrishna Mission will accelerate the work of the present state government which is working to reach the benefits of the government schemes to the last person of the society. Chief Minister also spoke about the initiatives of Ramakrishna Mission in the state, such as providing treatment and medicines through charitable dispensaries, free mobile medical services, different services during the covid pandemic, distribution of blankets and clothes, providing scholarships etc. At the programme, Chief Minister urged the Ramakrishna Mission to take initiative to establish a college in the state.

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhowmik was present at the programme. Swami Subhokarananda, Principal and Secretary of Vivek Nagar Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission gave the welcome speech. Belur Math Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Mission Assistant General Secretary Swami Tattavidanandaji Maharaj, former Judge and Tripura Human Rights Commission Chairman, Swapan Chandra Das, Dhaleswar Ramakrishna Mission Secretary Swami Indraanandaji Maharaj were present at the programme. Ramakrishna Mission monks recited Vedic mantras at the beginning of the programme. Inaugural music was performed by children from Gadadhar Abhyudaya. Chief Minister gave away prizes
