In Bihar, the Enforcement Directorate team is interrogating RJD Chief Lalu Prasad in Patna in connection with land for job scam. Lalu Prasad and her daughter Misa Bharati reached the Enforcement Directorate Office (ED) in Patna today. The ED team comprising officers from Delhi are interrogating Mr Prasad at the Regional Office in Patna. A large number of RJD supporters are present outside the ED office in Patna. It is the first time that the central agency has summoned Mr. Prasad to appear in this case in Patna.
CBI has filed a charge sheet in connection with land for job scam and ED is investigating the case of money laundering based on the charge sheet.
The scam is related to the period of 2004 to 2009 when Lalu Prasad was railway minister in the UPA government. Lalu Prasad and his family members are accused in this case.
