Kolkata: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani Tuesday announced that the oil-to-telecom conglomerate has committed an investment of around Rs 45,000 crore in West Bengal, Moneycontrol reported.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 7th edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in Kolkata, Ambani also revealed plans to infuse an additional Rs 20,000 crore into the state within the next three years, the report said.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and prominent industrialists, participated in the inaugural ceremony of the summit.
This event holds significance as it is a major industrial initiative organised by the West Bengal government.
Addressing the gathering, Ambani reiterated Reliance Industries commitment to boost West Bengals growth.
He elaborated on the companys plans to bolster the states development and outlined future investment plans in his remarks at the event.
Reliance Foundation has taken up an ambitious project to renovate and restore the Kalighat temple in Kolkata. We are in the process of repairing the entire temple complex, including the centuries-old heritage structures, he added, according to the report.
