In Maharashtra, heavy downpour in eastern  Vidarbha districts resulted in waterlogging and the closure of roads, overflowing of rivers and nala. Nagpur Municipal Corporation and District Disaster Management are carrying out rescue works. The regional Meteorological Centre, Nagpur, declared a red alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall for Nagpur and Wardha District. The District Magistrates of Nagpur and Wardha District have also declared a holiday for today for all schools and colleges in these districts.
