In a bid to fortify the financial ecosystem for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tripura, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducted the National Mission for Capacity Building of Bankers, in Dhalai District. This initiative brought together bankers representing various commercial institutions across the district, with the primary goal of equipping them with the knowledge and tools required to bolster the thriving MSME sector.
The gathering highlighted RBI’s commitment to fostering economic development and financial inclusion in the region. Bankers in attendance, along with RBI officers, including Argha Banerjee and others namely Manoj Kulkarni, Manager, Argha Banerjee, Manager, Alok Chandra Panigrahi, Assistant Manager, Pankaj Raj Das and Aparup Chowdhury from the Agartala office, actively participated in discussions about the latest policies, regulations, and financial products tailored to support MSMEs.
The National Mission served as a platform for open dialogue between financial institutions and entrepreneurs, offering a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the MSME sector. The enthusiasm displayed by the bankers indicated their readiness to apply the knowledge gained from the event to better serve the MSME community in Tripura.
In the event held at PWD Conference Hall keynote lecture was delivered by Professor Subhrabaran Das, the Head of the Economics Department at Tripura University. Professor Das shared insights into Tripura’s economic landscape and underscored the pivotal role that MSMEs play in the state’s overall growth.
