A fresh collaboration in the Indian entertainment space is drawing attention as actress Rasika Dugal opened up about her experience working alongside Saif Ali Khan in the upcoming OTT drama Kartavya. The project marks their first on-screen pairing, and early impressions suggest a dynamic and engaging partnership.

Speaking about the collaboration, Rasika described the experience as both enjoyable and creatively fulfilling. She highlighted Saif’s strong sense of humor and easygoing nature on set, noting that his presence made the filming process lively and collaborative. According to her, such an environment plays a crucial role in bringing out authentic performances, particularly in intense, character-driven narratives.

Rasika also expressed admiration for Saif’s enduring career in the film industry, emphasizing his ability to adapt and evolve over more than three decades. She pointed out that maintaining relevance in a highly competitive field requires both talent and reinvention—qualities she believes Saif exemplifies. Reflecting on their time working together, she remarked that she “thoroughly enjoyed” the experience and valued the opportunity to share screen space with an actor of his stature.

Kartavya, written and directed by Pulkit, is produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment by Gauri Khan. The film features a strong ensemble cast, including Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari, and Saurabh Dwivedi in key roles.

The storyline centers on a police officer portrayed by Saif Ali Khan, who faces escalating threats while balancing professional duty with personal responsibilities. The narrative delves into complex themes such as morality, justice, power, and the emotional burden carried by those in law enforcement. It also explores the consequences of silence and the ethical dilemmas that arise in high-stakes situations.

The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on May 15, generating anticipation among audiences who are eager to see this fresh pairing and the gripping storyline unfold.

Beyond Kartavya, Rasika Dugal continues to build on her diverse body of work. She is set to reprise her role as Beena Tripathi in the film adaptation of the popular series Mirzapur.
