Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his marriage with Alia Bhatt and the importance of love, trust and respect on Kaun Banega Crorepati. The actor also revealed that his daughter Raha has listened to Amitabh Bachchan’s Hanuman Chalisa since birth.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently shared insights into his marriage with actress Alia Bhatt, emphasising the importance of friendship, love, trust and respect in maintaining a strong relationship. During a special Diwali episode of the popular television quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), the actor also revealed a heart-warming family tradition involving his daughter, Raha Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan’s rendition of the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’.

During his interaction with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who hosts the quiz show, Ranbir discussed the values that have helped shape his relationship with Alia. According to the actor, friendship forms the foundation of a lasting bond, while love, trust and respect play distinct but equally important roles in keeping a relationship strong.

Explaining his perspective, Ranbir said, “Hamaari rishte ki jo neev hai, jo jad hai, woh dosti hai. Main hamesha se yeh manta hoon ki… prem ek rishte ko jodta hai, vishwas ek rishte ko mazboot banata hai, aur samman ek rishte ko kayam rakhta hai.”

Translated into English, he explained that friendship is the foundation of a relationship, love brings two people together, trust strengthens their bond, and respect helps sustain it over time.

His comments offered a glimpse into the personal values he considers essential to a successful marriage. Ranbir and Alia are among Bollywood’s most prominent celebrity couples, and their relationship has frequently attracted public attention since they began dating.

The actor also shared an emotional detail about his daughter, Raha, revealing that Amitabh Bachchan’s voice has been part of the family’s morning routine since her birth.

Speaking directly to Bachchan, Ranbir said, “Jabse meri beti Raha paida hui hai, aisa koi din nahi guzra hai jahan hum subah aapke gaaye hue Hanuman Chalisa se shuru…”

In English, he explained that ever since Raha was born, there had not been a single day when the family had not started its morning with the Hanuman Chalisa sung by Bachchan.

The revelation prompted a warm response from the veteran actor, who replied, “Wah, kya baat hai.”

The exchange highlighted the personal connection Ranbir’s family has developed with Bachchan’s devotional rendition. It also offered viewers a glimpse into the actor’s family life beyond his professional commitments.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt married on April 14, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai residence after dating for several years. Their relationship developed while they were working together on Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy adventure film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, which also featured Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, on November 6, 2022. Since becoming parents, both actors have occasionally shared glimpses of their family experiences while generally keeping their daughter’s private life away from excessive public attention.

Ranbir’s appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati combined personal reflections on marriage and parenthood with a discussion of faith and family traditions. His remarks about Alia highlighted the importance of mutual respect and trust, while his revelation about Raha’s morning routine created a memorable moment during the Diwali special episode.
