Along with the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan on Friday, voting was also held for the by-election to Bagidora assembly constituency. Over 73 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the constituency. The assembly seat fell vacant after the resignation of Congress MLA Mahendrajit Singh Malviya from the membership of the House. Mr Malviya resigned from Congress and joined BJP. He is contesting the Lok Sabha polls as a BJP candidate from Banswara Parliamentary seat in the state.
