Srinagar/UNI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived at the ski resort of Gulmarg in Baramulla district on Wednesday, officials said.

Gandhi, Congress sources said, is on a two-day personal visit to the ski resort.

Soon after arriving at Gulmarg, the Congress leader was seen skiing on the snow slopes at Kongdori.

Adequate security arrangements were put in place for the Congress leader at the resort.

A large number of people including tourists gathered to see Gandhi skiing on the slopes and took selfies at the spot.

Some tourists who had come from various states of India expressed their joy while seeing Congress leaders in ski suits on the snow-bound slopes of Gulmarg gathered around.

Earlier, on the way to Gulmarg, Gandhi stayed for some time at Tangmarg, where a large number of people wholeheartedly welcomed him.

He also interacted with the local people at Tangmarg who also took pictures with the Congress leader.

Rahul Gandhi recently concluded his Bharat Jodo Yatra with the hoisting of the tricolour at the historic Lal Chowk in Srinagar and addressed a public meeting amid snow on Jan 30.
