New Delhi/UNI: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday met families of the eight Indians on death row in Qatar and assured that the government will continue to make all efforts to secure their release.
The Minister said the government was attaching high importance to the case and shared the concerns and pains of their families.

Last week the Court of First Instance of Qatar awarded the death penalty to eight former Indian Navy personnel, who were working for Dahra Global Technologies and Consultancy Services, a private firm that provided training and related services to Qatars armed forces.
The Indian nationals were arrested by the Qatari intelligence agency in August 2022, for allegedly spying for Israel, but the charges against them have not been officially disclosed.
