Punjab to conduct mock drill under ‘Operation Shield’ on May 31 –

Punjab will be conducting a mock drill under “Operation Shield” tomorrow. Special Director General of Police, Home Guards, Sanjeev Kalra, who is also the Director, Civil Defence, has issued the orders in this regard. The mock drill is being conducted on the orders of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to augment the civil defence preparedness against any hostile attack. Earlier, Punjab had refused to conduct the drill yesterday, citing administrative reasons and had scheduled the same for June 3rd.
