President Droupadi Murmu has nominated educator, author, and philanthropist Sudha Murty to the Rajya Sabha.
Expressing happiness over the nomination, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Sudha Murthy’s contributions to diverse fields including social work, philanthropy, and education have been immense and inspiring. The Prime Minister said, her presence in the Rajya Sabha is a powerful testament to the Nari Shakti exemplifying the strength and potential of women in shaping the nation’s destiny. He wished her a fruitful Parliamentary tenure.
