The president, Vice President and Prime Minister have extended greetings to the residents of Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur on their Statehood Day.

In her message, President Droupadi Murmu said, the enterprising people of these states have made remarkable contributions to the development of the country. She conveyed her best wishes to the residents of these states for a peaceful and prosperous future. The President hoped that their diverse culture, vibrant traditions and rich biodiversity continue to flourish.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said, these three shining jewels of Bharat, beautifully embody the spirit of unity in diversity and reflect the vibrant cultural heritage of the country. He said, with their distinct traditions and indigenous wisdom, these States have truly enriched the cultural fabric of the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today conveyed his greetings on the statehood day of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura. In his message, Mr Modi said that the whole country is incredibly proud of the role played by the people of Manipur towards the Country’s development.

For Meghalaya, the Prime Minister said that the state is admired for its natural beauty and the industrial nature of the people. He also prayed for the continuous development of the state in the times to come. For Tripura, Mr. Modi mentioned that the state is making noteworthy contributions to national progress. He added that the state is known for its rich culture and heritage.
