President Droupadi Murmu will grace the 45th Convocation Ceremony of Indian Institute of Technology – Indian School of Mines (IIT-ISM Dhanbad) today, on the second day of her two-day visit to Jharkhand.
The President will see the exhibition put up by tribal women on Community Innovation at the Atal Innovation Centre set up in the institute. She will felicitate Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister P K Mishra, with the DSc degree at the Convocation ceremony. The President will also give away gold medals to 20 meritorious students on this occasion.
The President will release a stamp to commemorate the centenary year celebrations of the technical institution. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Jharkhand’s Higher Education Minister Sudivya Kumar, will also be present for the occasion.
