President Droupadi Murmu and the Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar have congratulated Indian Hockey Team for winning Women’s Asian Champions Trophy. In a social media post, President said, the girls remained undefeated throughout tournament, defended their title and recorded the third Asian Championship victory for India. She said, they have done India proud. The President conveyed special congratulations to Deepika for scoring the highest number of goals in the tournament, including the solitary winning goal in the final match. She wished the players and the team greater glories in the future.
In a social media post, Vice President said, this victory showcases the team’s exceptional skill, determination and discipline. Mr Dhankhar said, Bharat is immensely proud of their stellar performance. He hoped that they will continue to scale new heights and achieve remarkable feats.
