Tripura hosts Prabashi Tripura Divas 2025–26 in Agartala, bringing global diaspora leaders together to shape a development roadmap aligned with Viksit Tripura 2047, focusing on investment, innovation, skilling and inclusive growth.
The Tripura government is set to host the second edition of Prabashi Tripura Divas on December 28 in the form of the Prabashi Tripurabashi Summit 2025–26, with a focus on strengthening engagement with the global Tripura diaspora and leveraging their expertise for the state’s long-term development.
Official sources said that over 80 Prabashi Tripurabashis from different parts of India and abroad have confirmed participation, making it one of the largest diaspora-centric initiatives undertaken by the state in recent years. The summit will be held at Polo Hotel, Agartala, from 6 pm onwards.
The event is being organised by the Good Governance Department through the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT) as a flagship programme aligned with the vision of “Viksit Tripura 2047.” The summit aims to connect successful members of the Tripura diaspora with policymakers, administrators and local stakeholders to explore opportunities in investment, innovation, skilling and inclusive growth.
The inaugural session, themed “Connecting Hearts & Shaping Futures,” will be attended by Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, senior ministers, dignitaries and officials of TIFT. A plenary session titled “Tripura @ 2047: Vision & Opportunities” will follow, outlining the state’s broader developmental goals.
A major highlight will be the keynote address by Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Chairman of Bandhan Group, who is expected to share insights on entrepreneurship, institutional expansion and inclusive development. The Chief Minister, as chief guest, will also spell out the government’s roadmap and expectations from the global Tripura community.
The programme will include thematic sessions and breakout discussions on priority sectors such as IT, startups, skilling, education, healthcare and tourism. Departmental ministers will chair the sessions, while domain experts from the diaspora will participate as panellists.
