Three days after the oath taking ceremony, the portfolios Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and 11 cabinet ministers were announced with slight changes on Wednesday.

According to the Gazette notification, the Chief Minister kept with him the portfolios of Home (excluding jail and fire and Emergency Services), PWD, Industries and Commerce, General Administration, Election and all other departments which are not allocated to any other minister.

Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Deb Varma has been given portfolios of Power, RD including Panchayat, Finance, and Planning and Coordination including Statistics departments and Science, Technology and Environment.

Narendra Chandra Debbarma has been given the portfolios of Revenue and Forest departments while Ratan Lal Nath would look after Higher and School Education, Law including Parliamentary Affairs departments.

Three important departments- Agriculture, Transport and Tourism are with Minister Pranajit Singha Roy while Manoj Kanti Deb would look after Food, Civil Supplies and Urban development. Earlier, the portfolio of the Urban Development department was handled by Santana Chakma.

She has now been assigned with Social Welfare and Social Education, Industries and Commerce (Excluding Handloom, Handicraft and Sericulture, IT) while the portfolios of Jail, Fire and emergency Service, Welfare for Backward and Minorities Communities were given to Ramprasad Paul. Earlier, he also handled the Cooperation department.

This time, Bhagaban Chandra Das would look after the SC Welfare and ARDD department while the portfolios of ICA, Youth Affairs and Sports and PWD (DWS) went to Sushanta Chowdhury.

Importantly, newly-inducted minister Rampada Jamatia has been given the portfolios of Tribal Welfare, Industries and Commerce (Handloom, Handicraft and Sericulture) while Fisheries and Cooperation departments went to IPFT minister Prem Kumar Jamatia.
