With just ten more days to file nominations for the State Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, parties are engaged in selecting candidates, finalizing alliances, and seat-sharing. State BJP President Nainar Nagendran said seat-sharing talks for the AIADMK-led alliance will be held in a day or two. Speaking to the media in Tirunelveli, he said that Senior leader and Union Minister Piyush Goyal will lead the formal talks. In another development, AIADMK General Secretary and former Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy has gone to Delhi to meet a senior leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Seat-sharing talks with allied parties are also underway for the Secular Progressive Front led by the DMK.
