The 73rd BN Mallick Memorial All India Police Football Championship concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony at Umakanta Stadium this evening. The event honored the winners in both men’s and women’s categories, celebrating sportsmanship and unity among police forces.

Tripura’s Director General of Police (DGP), Amitabh Ranjan, presented trophies to the champion, runner-up, and third-place teams. The ceremony was attended by DGP (Intelligence) Anurag Dhankar, ADG G.S. Rao, and other senior police officials.

Addressing the gathering, DGP Amitabh Ranjan commended the efforts of all participants and organizers. He highlighted the significance of such tournaments in fostering teamwork and strengthening bonds among different police units. He also expressed gratitude for the successful execution of the event in Tripura for the first time.

In the women’s category, SSB clinched the championship, with Assam Rifles finishing as the runner-up and Odisha Police securing third place. In the men’s category, CISF emerged victorious, followed by BSF in second place and CRPF in third.

The event concluded with a band display by TSR and KTD Singh Police Training Academy personnel, followed by an exhibition match between the All India Police Team and the CRPF Team, adding to the celebratory spirit.
