Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written to former Indian Hockey legend Rani Rampal, who recently announced her retirement from the sport.
In his heartfelt letter, the Prime Minister wrote that the news of her retirement has left fans across the nation saddened.
Mr Modi wrote that her number 28 jersey was synonymous with unmatched skill and unstoppable goals. He also mentioned Rani as one of the “country’s most decorated players.”
