Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Swantantra Senani Sangrahalaya Sah Smriti Udyaan today at the Central Old Jail Premises in Ranchi. Mr Modi said that the Central Government has taken the decision to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas every 15th of November.
PM recalled the contribution of tribal freedom fighters in the freedom movement of the country and urged the youth to learn from them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi further adds that the formation of a separate state Jharkhand was the dream of our former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Inaugurating the museum, Prime Minister said that the museum will become a living establishment of the tribal culture and the contribution of tribal heroes and freedom fighters in the freedom struggle.
Meanwhile, On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh today to participate in Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas Mahasammelan at Jamburi Maidan, Bhopal, where he will launch multiple initiatives for the welfare of the janjatiya community at around 1 PM.
In Madhya Pradesh, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the tribal community for the visit of the Prime Minister in the state today. Ration Aapke Gram Yojana is being started by the state government. The ration will be distributed in the village itself through ration distribution vehicles under the scheme.
AIR Correspondent reports, There is a lot of enthusiasm in the tribal districts like Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Mandla, and others regarding Tribal Pride Day. Gaurav Yatras are being taken out from every village. The program is being organized in all tribal-dominated gram panchayats along with Bhopal where local residents will be connected to the programme through television and webcast. Vehicles coming during Tribal Pride Day will be exempted from toll tax. All the tribes of the state like Gond, Baiga, Bhil, Korku, Sahariya, Kol, etc. will participate in the programme.
