Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the Indian contingent heading to Paris for the Olympics. Interacting with the athletes yesterday, Mr. Modi expressed confidence that the contingent will bring glory to India. He said that Olympics is a big field to not only win but also learn.

Mr. Modi said that one should have a steadfast resolve to move ahead and win, keeping aside all the excuses and all the complaints. Recalling the importance of practice and consistency in the world of sports, Mr. Modi strongly urged to also focus on good sleep. He emphasised that it is the game of skill hence it is importance to have faith in the talent, training and consistency. Mr. Modi remarked that focus and positive outlook is pivotal for emerging victorious.

He felt assured that the teammates will break all the old records this time. He lauded the hardwork of the athletes and reminded them of the opportunity to do something for the country. The Prime Minister said that this time, the government has made an effort to activate the Indian Community in Paris for the ease of connectivity of the Indian athletes. Mr. Modi said that India is hoping to host the 2036 Olympics in the country and continuous efforts in this direction are being made especially in infrastructural development.
