Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the judgment of the Supreme Court that MPs and MLAs do not enjoy immunity from prosecution for taking bribes to make a speech or cast a vote in Parliament and Legislative Assemblies.
In a social media post, Mr Modi said, it is a great judgment by the Supreme Court which will ensure clean politics and deepen people’s faith in the system.
