Dispur/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spent Saturday morning taking an elephant and a jeep safari at Assams Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, amid his packed administrative and political schedule.

Modi was reportedly accompanied by senior forest officials including park director Sonali Ghosh.

Feeding sugar cane to Lakhimai, Pradyumna and Phoolmai. Kaziranga is known for the rhinos but there are also large number of elephants there, along with several other species, the Prime Minister added.

Modi, who has kicked off the campaign for his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is scheduled to inaugurate several central and state projects in Assam, which is ruled by the saffron camp.

The Prime Minister will also address a public rally.
