The three-month-long Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan for the conservation and promotion of water sources in Madhya Pradesh is concluding today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually attend and address the state-level program to be held in Khandwa. During the campaign, more than 83 thousand farm ponds were built in the state for Rs 2048 crore, which will irrigate the fields. Also, more than five thousand water sources were renovated with the participation of 40 lakh people. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of water conservation works worth more than 1,518 crore rupees in today’s program. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate 4 irrigation projects of the Water Resources Department. During the campaign, the districts performing best on various parameters will also be honoured.
