Invited by his British counterpart, Mr Keir Starmer, both would also likely exchange views on issues of regional and global relevance. Speaking to Akashvani Correspondent in London, India’s High Commissioner to the UK, Mr. Vikram Kumar Doraiswami, said that the upcoming visit will be beneficial for both countries. He added that a future agreement on free trade may also be signed, which would have a positive impact on both economies.
Akashvani correspondent reports that calling it an ambitious document, Mr Doraiswami said that the Free Trade Agreement would build a new partnership more focused on futuristic stuff.

He said Prime Minister Modi is so committed to the relationship between the countries  and wants to take it forward.

On meeting with King Charles, Mr. Doraiswami said that Mr. Modi and the King have a lot many things in common, including holistic health and environment and will be meeting on July 24th.

The signing of the FTA would not only strengthen bilateral economic ties but may also serve as a major factor for India to have more such agreements with other developed countries in future.
