Emphasising the paramount importance of maritime security and freedom of navigation, both leaders discussed the ongoing situation in West Asia.

During the exchange, they reviewed the progress in the bilateral Strategic Partnership, building on the Crown Princes state visit to India in September 2023, said the report.

Modi and the Saudi Crown Prince deliberated on a forward-looking bilateral partnership agenda, outlining the trajectory for future collaboration.

Expressing shared concerns over terrorism, violence, and the loss of civilian lives, the leaders acknowledged the critical need for concerted efforts to address the current challenges in the region.

According to a UNI report, the talks gained additional significance against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where the toll has surpassed 20,600 Palestinians, with a significant number being women and children.

Prime Minister Modi reiterated Indias unwavering stance on the Israel-Palestine issue and urged continued humanitarian aid for the affected population.

The conversation delved into the broader regional context, with both leaders expressing a commitment to maintaining stability and security.

Modi conveyed congratulations to Saudi Arabia for being selected as the host for Expo 2030 and the FIFA Football World Cup 2034.

The two leaders affirmed their commitment to stay in touch, underscoring the importance of ongoing dialogue amid evolving regional dynamics.
