Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated eminent lawyer Ujjwal Deorao Nikam, Social Worker C Sadanandan Master, former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla and historian and academician Dr Meenakshi Jain on being nominated to the Rajya Sabha. In a series of social media post, Mr Modi said, Ujjwal Nikam’s devotion to the legal field and to the Constitution is exemplary. The Prime Minister added that he has not only been a successful lawyer but also been at the forefront of seeking justice in important cases. He said, during his entire legal career, Mr Nikam has always worked to strengthen Constitutional values and ensure common citizens are always treated with dignity.
 
Prime Minister said, Harsh Vardhan Shringla has excelled as a diplomat, intellectual and strategic thinker. He said, over the years, he has made key contributions to India’s foreign policy and also contributed to the G20 Presidency. Congratulating  C. Sadanandan, Mr Modi said, his life is the epitome of courage and refusal to bow to injustice. The Prime Minister highlighted that his efforts as a teacher and social worker are commendable and he is also extremely passionate towards youth empowerment. Mr Modi said, Dr. Meenakshi Jain has distinguished herself as a scholar, researcher and historian. The Prime Minister added that her work in the fields of education, literature, history and political science have enriched academic discourse significantly.
