Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dubai late Thursday to attend COP 28 or the World Climate Action Summit, where he will make his presence for the third time.

The 28th edition of COP will run till December 12.
Along with the COP, the Prime Minister will hold seven bilateral meetings and deliver four speeches during his stay in Dubai for 21 hours.
Prime Minister Modi on Thursday said the climate summit will provide an opportunity to review progress made under the Paris Agreement, and chart a path for future course on climate action.

He said, In keeping with our civilizational ethos, India has always laid emphasis on climate action even as we pursue social and economic development.
During our G20 Presidency, climate was high on our priority. The New Delhi Leaders Declaration includes numerous concrete steps on climate action and sustainable development. I look forward to the COP-28 taking forward the consensus on these issues.

Stressing on Indias commitment, the Prime Minister said, India has walked the talk when it comes to climate action.
