As the situation continued to improve over the past couple of weeks, the state government has now decided to resume the physical classes of school students from Class -I to Class- VI from Monday.  Physical classes of Class VI to XII had already started from August 25 last. 

As per the notification issued by Director of Elementary Education- Chandni Chandran, the school authorities have been asked to put some measures in place for ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and safety of the school children.

The Head Teachers and Teachers-in-charge would ensure that class routine is properly framed so that every child is properly covered in terms of full academic outputs. Class tests and weekly tests must be conducted by the respective school authorities, the notification said.

“The schools may adopt rigorous teaching for coverage of the syllabus as prescribed by SCERT with special focus on students from humble backgrounds. Hot cooked Mid-Day-Meal shall be provided to all the students of Class V along with that for Class VI-VIll which already been commenced,” the notification reads.
