Residents of Raipara in Golaghati constituency are expressing frustration over the disruption of pensions for two families. Raihdhan Sarkar and Hiranbasi Sarkar, long-time pension beneficiaries, have faced significant hardship since their payments were halted four months ago. Despite submitting required documents to the Jampui RD Block and receiving promises of reinstatement, no action has been taken to restore their pensions.
Compounding their difficulties, Hiranbasi Sarkar’s 64-year-old son, Thakurdhan Sarkar, who is battling cancer, has also been left without crucial pension support. Locals have criticized the concerned department for the lack of response.
On Monday, the Sarkar family appealed to the state government through the media, urging prompt action to resolve their pension issues and alleviate their ongoing financial strain.
