Indian archer Deepika Kumari advanced to the quarter-finals of the Womens Individial Archery at Paris Olympics on Saturday, giving hope of another medal in the upcoming days.

She beat Germanys Michelle Kroppen in the 1/8 elimination round.

Bhajan Kaur, however, failed to cross the Round 16 after she was defeated in the shoot-off.

Kaur crashed out after she was defeated by Indonesias Diananda Choirunisa 6-5.

Indias double medal winner Manu Bhaker missed winning the third after she finished fourth in the Womens 25m Pistol event at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday.

Manu came closer to victory and just missed the medal by a whisker to Hungarys Veronika Major in a 3rd/4th place elimination shoot-off.

After Series 8, both the shooters were tied at 28.

A shoot-off decided the final winner of the match.

Major ended four shots on the target while Manu shot only three to get eliminated.

India shooters have so far shined in the Paris Olympics.

Sarabjot Singh, Swapnil Kusale won the bronze medal in the mens 50m rifle 3P event, with India so far bagging three medals and all of them were clinched by shooters.
